Wondering

Time teasingly beckons, but have you lived?

Have you found the dew on the lotus flower?

Kissed a chubby cheek?

Have you found some meaning in the sunrise?

A connection to the bird of prey?

Have you breathed deeply,

stepped softly and found differences

between conscience, ego and unconditional acceptance?

Did the four leaf clover stand out one day—

not for its difference, but for its likeness?

Have you run and played, rested and hid?

Discovered the mystery tucked behind each petal?

Is there no meaning except the journey itself?

Has what is to come, already been found?

You are whole, you have lived, you have journeyed,

and your faith in the connected-ness is the thread,

woven between generations, blind to all,

but our commonality, making us one.
